Historische Märzen, brewed with cold-fermenting yeast and refined with 100 % Hallertau aromatic hops, is a speciality beer with a fine malty sweetness for beer connoisseurs. The deep golden colour with a slight opal cloudiness is reminiscent of a ripe barley field and makes the bottom-fermented Märzen the perfect festival beer for the warm summer months.

Even today, the swing tops are still mounted on Mönchshof bottles by hand. We are very proud of this tradition, because the tops keep the carbon dioxide in the beer and can be resealed at any time so beer can be enjoyed for longer. Sustainable: Although swing tops are more expensive to produce and use than conventional bottle tops, they can be reused several times, which protects the environment.
